The Young Adult Ministry (YAM) was formed in 2007 to provide emotional and spiritual support for the young adults in Evangel Baptist Church. It seeks to establish a community of believers who will grow in Christ likeness and be fully equipped for Ministry and Mission.
Members
We welcome all young adults of ages 19 to 34. It is opened to all Evangel members and friends. Both Christians and non Christians are welcome.
Objectives

To provide a platform to address, from a Christian perspective, the specific developmental needs of Young Adults of ages 19-34.
- To provide a conducive environment for our Young Adults to build significant relationships for mutual encouragement and support.
- To provide ongoing spiritual nurturing and growth to our young adults.

To train and equip our young adults for ministry and mission.
- To build a sustainable, growing and vibrant community of young adults.
Three Pronged Approach
We propose to achieve the objectives through a 3 pronged approach:

A Structured, Regular and Consistent Bible Study and Fellowship Program
A Systematic Training & Mentoring Program to Equip Leaders for Ministry

Cultivating a Desire for Ministry and Mission
Young Adult(YA) CBSI Bible Study & Fellowship Program
Program:
We adopt the CBSI (Community Bible Study International) curriculum in order to provide our young adults with a structured and regular Bible study and fellowship program. CBSI is a non-denominational Bible study program that aims to enable and encourage people of all ages, backgrounds and beliefs to come together to study the Bible in a structured and supportive way. Format:
A typical class day follows this format:
Class Meeting
10.30am – 11.00am: Refreshment and Fellowship (optional)
11.00am – 11.10am: Opening - Welcome, Worship, Announcement
11.10am – 12.05pm: Small Group Discussion and Prayer
12.05pm – 12.10 pm: Re-assemble and Singing
12.10pm – 12.30 pm: Wrap-up Lecture
12.30 pm: Adjourn, Q&A, pick up new lesson & participate in additional fellowship as desired.
In adddition to the above, on scheduled Saturday:
12.30 – 1.30 pm: Fellowship and Lunch
