Welcome to the official website of Evangel Baptist Church!

We are a community of God’s people who have been much blessed by Him all the years of our history. In response to His grace, we aspire to be a Great Commission church (Matt 28:19-20), using our resources and opportunities to be grounded in the Word, grow in Christ-likeness, give cheerfully in ministry, and go to the lost.

We anchor our preaching and teaching in the Word so that the inner man can be built up in knowledge and understanding of the Word.

However, the inner life is not to be hidden but manifested. Hence, we move from knowing and understanding the Word to establishing ourselves in obedience to the Word.

This obedience manifests itself not only in the visible characteristics of the fruit of the Holy Spirit (Gal 5:22-23). It is also demonstrated as we cheerfully apply ourselves to giving financially, serving faithfully, and caring relationally.

As the Lord has called us to be “salt and light” here on earth, we believe our work does not begin and end within the church. Rather, our work goes beyond our church walls. Hence, we encourage one another to testify what the Lord has done in our life circumstances. In doing so, we challenge one another to be in the world but not of the world, and to point lost people to Jesus Christ.

We at Evangel know we are far from perfect both as individuals and as a church. But we strive to progress in our journey of faith with the Lord. We do not give up on ourselves because He has not given up on us.
